贾维嘉教授上海交通大学全职致远讲习教授。研究方向为网络空间实体对象智慧传感、搜索与大数据处理、下一代无线通信协议、异构网络、分布式系统、组播通信、多媒体通信等领域。均取得了诸多国内外领先的研究成果。在Anycast (选播) 路由协议研究领域和网络匹配方面进行了先驱性的研究,并取得了很多国际领先的研究成果。在国际杂志和顶级学术会议上发表论文超过500篇,H-index 53 (Google 2020)。在人工智能,无线通信、多媒体通信等领域均取得了诸多国内外领先的研究成果,创立了Anycast(选播)路由协议研究领域,并在该领域取得了诸多国际领先研究成果。曾被多个权威国际会议邀请做大会主题演讲。他在相关领域的权威国际期刊(ACM/IEEE TON, IEEE TPDS、IEEE TC、IEEE TM等)和高水平的国际学术会议上(CCS、WiSec、MobiHoc、SenSys、ICDCS、INFOCOM等)上发表学术论文多篇,撰写了专著2部(均由Springer出版),还参与了12部书籍的撰写。

曾主持多项香港政府科学基金。2018和2019年分别获得澳门科技基金会共五百万澳门币的资助开发通信与人工智能系统。2006和2008年分别获得香港创新及科技支援计划及配套基金一千一百万港币与九百六十万港币的资助开发跨平台无线网络安全系统。参与国家科技部973和863项目各两项;主持香港政府科学基金(GRF)和香港城市大学应用研究及发展基金(ARD)等研究项目共20多项,科研经费总额达四百多万美元。申请专利18项(2项美国专利)。2015年获NSFC重点基金和上海市科委重点基金,均为主持。2005, 2014年获湖南省和广东省科技进步奖2项。

他致力于与学生组成团队。过去五年曾设计和实现在WiFi、3G、4G和WiMAX宽带电话系统上无缝的、安全的通信平台,基于该平台,实现了一系列多媒体传感器,手机及个人网关产品。以方便人们能够随时随地、简便地进行多媒体传感、通信、举行视频会议以及远程移动监控等。产品连续2010,2011年获深圳高科技展会最佳产品奖。担任IEEE国际学术会议程序主席、分会主席、指导或程序委员会委员。担任国际学术刊物编委。近年在IEEE,ACM国际学术会议上做特邀与大会报告近20次。IEEE TPDS和ComCom编委,国家千人计划2013年入选者。

贾维嘉教授82及84年毕业于中南大学计算机科学系,获工学学士以及硕士学位;84-87年留校;87至88年任加拿大渥太华大学计算机科学系访问学者;88年回国任中南大学讲师;92年至93年在比利时蒙斯理工学院攻读博士;93年8月获博士学位。

贾维嘉教授93年8月至95年8在德国国家信息科学中心(GMD)做博士后;95年8月至13年担任香港城市大学计算机科学系任全职教授、深圳研究院未来网络科技中心主任和计算机系课程委员会副主任;18年至2020年5月,贾维嘉教授兼任澳门大学计算机讲座教授、数据科学中心主任、智慧城市物联网国家重点实验室副主任;2014年起任上海交通大学全职致远讲习教授。

2014-15年起任教交大IEEE 荣誉班级“计算机网络”课老师。
